Flowers Indoors

When the cold sets in, my father brings many of his planters inside to the basement, where he has a special light set up for them. In this way he protects his geraniums, begonias, and other flowers from the elements.  It means less of a bill for plants in the spring, and that cuttings can brought up to the dining room throughout the winter.

Here you can see a shot of a begonia bloom that was part of a larger bouquet this weekend,
