Although fall like temperatures have been coming and going over the last few weeks, fall colors have been taking their time in coming. Fall fruit have been out–berries like these abound (along with more edible fall harvests in stores).
But for all the clear, cool October days we’ve had, I haven’t noticed much in the way of striking color change–until today. Today is one of those grey, continually misty days that I mentally associate with the drabness of November. However, that greyness is apparently the backdrop needed to make the colors creeping across the foliage visible. That almost makes the rain worth it.
