Travel Recap: Park Guell

When Jason and I were about to leave Valencia, my uncle told us that Barcelona was a fun place “si tienes plata”–if we had money in our pockets.  The Catalans are known for the way they charge for sites, and true to form, Park Guell has just recently been added to the list of Gaudi sites requiring an entrance fee.  At the time we visited it was still free. Regardless of the fee, it’s a place well worth visiting for both the architecture and the views across Barcelona and out to the sea–even when the characteristically blue Mediterranean skies are hidden by clouds.
