Lovers’ Locks at the Purple People Bridge

lovers' locks--the purple people bridge

“The Purple People Bridge” is the popular name given to the Newport Southbank Bridge, a pedestrian bridge that connects downtown Cincinnati with Newport, Kentucky. People have begun attaching locks to the bridge, some of them quite elaborately inscribed with romantically significant dates and sentiments.

This photo, which I took this past summer, is currently on display at the Main Library in downtown Cincinnati, as part of the Frame Cincinnati photo exhibit, which will be up until November 2. I’m thrilled to have one of my works on display with those of other photographers from the area!
