Jason and I are learning that part of parenthood is stumbling across oddly effective methods (or is it effectively odd methods?). Take tonight’s attempt to feed Rowan carrots. Usually this kid is enthusiastic about food. Zucchini? Sweet potato? Green beans? Chicken? Squash? Yogurt? All good. Carrots? Not so much. In fact, he was making such hilarious faces to convey his disgust and disapproval of more carrot entering his mouth that I grabbed my camera.
Jason seized the opportunity and a spoonful of carrots swooped unexpectedly into place.
And the bottom lip was sucked firmly under the top lip.
I wondered if Rowan would fall for the same trick twice.
Unbelievably, taking photos is how we got the best of Carrot Face Rowan.
